In a move that casts a serious blow to Hillary Clinton’s half-dead Campaign, Former Presidential candidate John Edwards has stated his intentions of backing Barack Obama’s run for the White House.  In an event in Grand Rapids, MI, Obama and Edwards stressed the need to create a unified Democratic party in an effort to defeat John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee.

Where this leaves lil’ Hil is anyone’s guess. The bigger question is what Obama offered to Edwards in return for his endorsement. The general assumption is that Edwards could become a running partner to provide a boost to Obama’s numbers in rural areas where he continues to struggle. There’s also a train of thought that Edwards, an accomplished attorney, could be seeking an appointment as Attorney General.

In related news, Grand Rapids native and #1 pound for pound fighter, Floyd ”Pretty Boy” aka “Money” Mayweather Jr. referred to Obama a “C+ candidate.”

He’s also gone on the record endorsing his uncle and trainer Roger Mayweather for President.
